Discovered this hidden little gem on a day trip to Ayr. I'm back from Canada on holiday and my mother and I went in to have a coffee but when we saw the food on offer we decided to eat as well. The place was packed but the service was prompt and our server, who turned out to be the owner, was very friendly. Great menu for breakfast and lunch, the owner suggested we have the soup combo which we did. Excellent homemade lentil soup and the filled rolls were great too. Fantastic value, the same thing would have cost double in Vancouver. The place emptied and the owner gaveus a brilliant history of the 1600s building it is situated in. Highly recommend the Cosy Corner, oh and the artwork by her husband was very good.

I have lived in Ayr for 39 years and although I had always known about this place I never actually tried it out. This is truly a cosy little place with only about six tables, so might be difficult to get a seat at times. Quite often someone will offer to share their table with you which can lead to fantastic new conversations. We tried the breakfast here and it was refreshing to see that they hadn't just deep fried everything like other places. My wife had a BLT which was delicious. There is also a selection of fresh cake available. We managed to have food and drinks for two for about 13. Be aware that they do not appear to take card payments.A fantastic little place to visit.

I'm 40 and have been coming here everytime I visit ayr since I was 13. Its a very nice atmosphere, good home made food, especially the soup, the service is great. You don't have to sit around waiting. And the foods served hot and fast, I bring my children and the staff as always great with them. Especially my disabled son. Its a lovely cosy wee place. Nice decorating. I can't fault it at all. My kids love it too. Have brought in so many friends and family just to have them experience the cosy corner. Hope to be back soon.

I've been going since I was a wee girl and now have the pleasure of taking my own daughter. Everyone is so welcoming and is very baby friendly- my wee one is treated like a celebritity. The food the tasty, fresh and traditional. A true gem!

I was astonished to discover this café still exists. It hasn't changed at all since I first visited around 40 years ago (that's not any kind of criticism - it's lovely to be able to step back in time).Good menu, great food and friendly service in a cosy atmosphere.Go find Cosy Corner if you're in Ayr!
